Photos for your document
Passport and ID card
Let us know if you need a photo for a Dutch passport or identity card. For a foreign document or visa, bring the requirements and ask us in advance whether we can provide the requested format.
Driving licence
Are you applying through your municipality or renewing online through RDW? Tell us before your photo is taken: a printed photo and digital submission through RDW are different services.
Renew your driving licence online with the RDW photo service
- Have your photo taken and your signature recorded.
- We securely send your photo and signature to RDW. Follow the message you receive from RDW.
- Complete the online application with RDW using DigiD, then collect your driving licence from your municipality.
Check with RDW first whether you can renew online. Photo costs and driving licence application costs are separate.
